Award-Winning Galway based kitchen worktop manufacturing company has welcomed a specialist to its Operations team.
Keith joins the Topform team in the newly created position of Plant Manager. This strategic appointment will help Topform to deliver on its ambition to be the best manufacturing environment of any indigenous company in Ireland.
Topform Aim to Improve Production
He will be responsible for the overall day to day running of the Production facility ensuring it runs smoothly while also looking for areas of improvement. Director of Production, David Prendergast is delighted to have added Keith to the operations team. David said ‘Keith brings a wealth of experience to the role gained through years working in a range of multinational businesses. This level of knowledge is critical for us to take the next steps on our journey and frees up more time for the senior management team to plan Topform’s path over the next 3-5 years.’
Having initially started his career as a cabinet maker and kitchen manufacturer, Keith has a unique understanding of the industry before transferring his skills to the medical device industry. Roles at Hollister ULC and Zimmer Biomet, saw him increase his responsibilities from a production operator to a Production Supervisor which brought knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and systems.
Keen Hurler from Mayo
He is a keen GAA enthusiast with a love of hurling despite being from Mayo. Following a successful underage career that included various county titles and an All-Ireland with Mayo, he currently plays with Ballina Stephenites. He lives in hope one day Mayo will finally reach the top and win the elusive Sam Maguire and All-Ireland title.
Keith commented that joining a company that has just been crowned National Small Business of the Year is a daunting task that he is looking forward to getting involved in. He said, ‘it’s fantastic to join a company with a strong history within the home and leisure industries which is focused on innovation and product development. The aim is to bring the company to the next level and I’m excited to see what we can achieve.’
